Yolanda Sease, an upcoming 2022 graduate of the Collat School of Business’ online Master of Science in Management Information Systems program with a concentration in IT Management, selected UAB because it “had the program I was interested in as well as the timeframe in which I wanted to complete,” she said.
Upon entering UAB’s online MS MIS program, her goal was to migrate into being a manager, and is grateful to have done so recently!

Yolanda’s online experience with UAB has been “wonderful,” she said. “This program has been demanding; however, it has been well worth it.”
When asked about balancing the demands of study with her everyday life, Yolanda responded, “I have impeccable time management skills. Between, my husband, my work, and the rest of my family, being a good time manager is essential.”
Real-world application
After graduation, Yolanda plans to put everything she has learned into her job. The sort of knowledge and skills she can bring to her work now is how to budget and make better decisions in IT management. She expects to continue to grow and expand her knowledge over the years to come.
